SMITH, Mr. William A, October 29, 1947 to December 12, 2020, Wichita, Kansas.

William Alfred Smith, of known as "W.A." or "Bill," age 73, passed away on December 12, 2020. William was born to Joseph and Mable Smith on October 29, 1947. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1973. He started with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1974 and retired from Verizon in 2002, holding numerous titles in several locations, transferring to Virginia in 1979. William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte Haden Smith. Survived by his sister, Donna (Walter) Neville; his first wife, Bonnie Laws; his ex-wife, Willetta Younts Smith Dyer; his current spouse, Catherine Shirley Robinson Smith; sons, Brian and Russell (Ginny) Smith; and his grandchildren, Yosiah, Zedekiah, Azaria and Besora Smith.

Stepchildren: Bonita Laws, CW Clarence Trice, Nicole Trice, Bonita Laws, Wallace Bailey, Kathy Masters, Harris and Spencer Bailey. Nephews and nieces: John (Kristin) Neville Clydette (John) Simpson, Alice (Nelson) Buschl and his grandnieces and nephews.

Graveside service and burial will be Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Ponca City, Okla., located at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
