Naomi Marie Wade was born on September 10, 1949 in Fluvanna, Virginia. She was one of several children born to Marion White and Ruben Anderson. On June 12, 2020 she was called to her eternal resting place. Preceded in death by: her parents, husband Benny Wade; sisters, Thelma Lacy and Shirley Opie, and son in law Rondi Jefferson.
After attending Fluvanna High School, Naomi soon began working at Morton’s Frozen Food for several years, then spent numerous years working at Best Pack, before eventually working her last job at Envoy at the Village Nursing Home. She dedicated over 25 years of service at the Nursing Home before retiring.
She was baptized at an early age and joined the Cloverdale Baptist Church. She served as a devoted member for numerous years and was actively involved in her church and her community. She loved her family and spending time with them. Naomi was known for being a good-hearted person and always saying “Sweetie”. Also, she enjoyed shopping, cooking and loved baking coconut pies.
Naomi leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Angela Jefferson (A), Sophia Bland (Fe), and one son, John R. Bland Jr (JB), Eleven grandchildren, one devoted Travis Jefferson; Twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Ann Lacy and Beatrice Jones; one brother, Wallace Lacy; brother in laws, Garrison Leroy Wade and John Edward Wade; sister in law, Janie Fannings; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Several devoted friends Alberta Bowles, Katherine Branch, Evon Johnson, and Margret Woodson. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
