Michael Kevin Johnson

Michael Kevin Johnson better known as “Big Mike” departed this life on February
22, 2023 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on September
18, 1963, to the late Hattie and Henry “Snowball” Johnson.
He attended Buckingham County Public Schools and was employed as a cook at
various restaurants. He enjoyed life and loved talking about the Lord. He also
enjoyed cooking, being around family, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers William “Percy” Johnson
and James Henry “Hank” Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, Edward Johnson of
Charlottesville, VA, Nelson Johnson of Charlottesville, VA, and Anthony Johnson
(Deloris) of Charlottesville, VA; six sisters, Thelma Brown of Charlottesville, VA,
Marie Johnson of Charlotteville, VA, Shirley Jackson (Theodore) of Arvonia, VA,
Janet Johnson of Fluvanna, VA, and Brenda Johnson of Norfolk, VA; sister-in-law,
Carol B. Johnson; two aunts, Claudine Gaskins of Tappahannock, VA and
Margaret Woodson, of Arvonia, VA; a host of nieces and nephews, and other
relatives and friends.
