Margaret (Bates) Young

Mrs. Margaret Young entered her earthly life on April 10, 1924 in Fluvanna County Virginia and departed
on her eternal journey on May 4, 2023. Mrs. Young was the daughter of the late James and Julia Bates.
Margaret joined The New Fork Baptist Church at an early age. She worked diligently in the church and
outside the church serving God.

She leaves cherished memories with her two sons, Jimmy Young (Sarah)
of Troy, Virginia, Joseph Young (Beverly) of Huntsville, Alabama, six daughters, Elaine Young (Sam) of
Palmyra, Virginia, Marie Hawthorne (James) of Hopewell, Virginia, Katt Sledd (Preston) of Ruckersville,
Virginia, Sara Johnson (Collie) and Donnie Vest (Barry) all of Palmyra, Virginia, and Julia Bates of Louisa,
Virginia, one sister Mary F. Felton of Palmyra, Virginia. She also leaves sweet memories with 26
grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and other family members and friends whom she loved dearly. Rest in Peace Margert, we
 love you and forever you’ll be in our hearts.
