Harry Mansfield Butler, was born to Ruth and Julius Butler on April 22
1949. He was born and raised in Philadelphia.
Harry attended the Philadelphia Public School System. He graduated high
school and took up carpentry, but went in another direction for work. Harry, at the
age of 15, enrolled in a work study program at Adulta Heating and Cooling Air
conditioning. He learned this tread and worked his way to head foreman at the age
Harry married his childhood sweetheart, Rebecca Atwood on January 6th
1968. During their union they had 3 children Theresa, Harry II (Deceased), Tiffany.
Harry, in 1971, was still working for Adulta when it unfortunately closed.
He found another work at Aluminium Sheet Metal Co., keeping the same position
as head foreman. They acknowledged his hard and outstanding work.
Unfortunately, in the year of 1991, that job closed. In the same year Harry's health
started to deteriorate.
In 1996 he made a big life change and sold his house in Philadelphia. He and
his wife moved to Virginia and bought a house in Cartersville. Harry thoroughly
enjoyed his time in Virginia. Everyday he wished he had made the journey here
sooner. Some of Harry's hobbies include fishing and hunting. He loved being on
the water and near the water, and loved to be one with nature. He was also fond of
video games, sports, and CSI and other mystery tv shows.
● The Lord Jesus Christ, that kept him at peace, kept him strong and showed
him not to give up.
● His wife, that stayed by his side through thick and thin.
● His grandchildren, that filled in with love and joy.
● His friend Smithy, who would always call when Harry needed it , he was a
Harry will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Rebecca A. Butler. They shared
a very special bond. Daughters: Theresa (Edward) Thortro, Tiffany (Steven) Napier.
