Elizabeth "Lizzy" (James) Woodson

On Saturday, October 29, 2022 God called our beloved Elizabeth J. Woodson, to eternal rest at the Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1955 to the Late Robert and Edith James, of New Canton, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Siblings, Esther J. Perkins, Nannie James, and Larry James; great grandchild, Karter Jones. 
       Early in life, Elizabeth, affectionately known as “Lizzy” was employed by the University of Virginia Medical Center and Sheraton Hotel. In Lizzy’s pastimes, she enjoyed word searches, crossword puzzles, knitting/sewing, coloring and talking on the phone! In 1972, Lizzy married her husband and father of her children, Thomas “Michael” Woodson, of New Canton, Virginia. 
       She leaves to cherish her loving fond memories to her four children, Estella “Boo” Woodson (Jake), Michael D. Woodson (Talena), Samantha W. Pompey (Marshall), and Thomas “Fatstuff” Woodson, all of New Canton, Virginia; Seven grandchildren, Malik Woodson (Tamara), Terlik Woodson, Tyren Jones, Jayden Woodson (Mylasia), Asante’ “Mama” Dibble, Jorden “Jordy” Woodson, & Sa’Nyah Gregory; four great-grandchildren, Zamara “Woman” Woodson, Kameron “Bub” Jones, Karson “Karsy” Jones & Kadryn “Peanut” Jones; five surviving siblings, Dorothy James, Melvin and Marvin James, all of Arvonia, Virginia, Edward James & Michael James, both of Richmond, Virginia; her in-Laws, Charlie, Barbara, Jean, Hattie (Jeffrey), Gail (Charles), and Inez; long Time close friend, Geneva Roseboro, Along with other family and friends
