Doris Ann (Young) Nicholas

Doris Ann Nicholas departed her life on April 22, 2021.  She was proceeded in death by her son Mario Nicholas and, brother Fredrick Young.  She was born on August 14,1965 to Shedrick & Margaret Young of New Canton, VA

Doris’s smile was an unforgettable one and, to know her was to love her.  She loved to keep you laughing and would speak her mind.

Doris enjoyed her gospel group “Sounds from Heaven”, playing spades, & cooking, she thought she could fish.  She was a decorator, something we all took from Grandma Eliza.

 Doris was known as “Red & Peaches”.  She will be greatly missed by family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her significant other Riccardo Evans of Goochland, VA, three sons: Calvin T. Young of Washington DC, La’tarrus Nicholas (Tabu) of New Canton VA, De’Vonte’ Nicholas (Shanna) of Dillwyn VA, Two daughters: Shaneika Nicholas of New Canton VA, MarLeeha Nicholas of Charlottesville, VA Five sisters: Earnestine Coleman (Dale), Marion Youg, Elsie Coleman (Pernell), Loretta Anderson (Emmtte), La’Tonya Johnson (Ike), Two brothers: Henry Young, & James Young, Thirteen Grandchildren: Ke’shad Nicholas, Kyterrius Nicholas, Ka’Tiyah Nicholas, Mario Nicholas, La’Brea Nicholas, Jeremiah Nicholas, Latarrus Nicholas Jr., Ivery Woodson, Ma’Kensie Nicholas, Jahkia Johnson, Jarius Brown, Jerri Gaiters and Jer’Nie Gaiters.  A host of Aunts, Uncles, devoted Aunt: Thelma Bates, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special sister Friend Marie Jackson.   Calvin Nicholas, mother in law- Lucille Nicholas, Four Sister in laws- Cynthia Young, Juanita Nicholas, Thelma Nicholas, and  Patricia Eldridge , brother in-law Albert Nicholas.
