Donovan Joseph Watkins was born on February 4, 2011
in Charlottesville, Virginia. He departed this life on
Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Buckingham, Virginia.
Donovan was preceded in death by his father, Kyle “Boe”
Watkins and Grandfather, Franklin Gibson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother
Jacqueline and stepfather Keith Gibson; his brothers
Charles and Gregory Bright; his Grandfather, Kenneth
Jackson, Grandmothers Barbara-Ann Watkins and Sharon
Dixon; his aunts Cherelle, Wilhelmina, and Cortrina
Watkins and his uncles Chris and Alex Gibson, and
Eric(Tracey) and Jeffrey Watkins and a host of cousins,
especially his sidekick, Jahuan “Poodie” Watkins.
Donovan attended Buckingham County Elementary
school. His love for sports was shown in his participation
in baseball, basketball, and football.
Donovan was full of life from the day he was born. He
loved to play sports, video games and was a shoe fanatic.
He was known to have an infectious smile with the cutest
dimples that would brighten up a room.
