De'Vonte Nicholas

Devonte Lamar Nicholas departed this life on May 24, 2023. He was born to Doris Ann Nicholas, who preceded him in death in April 2021, and Calvin Nicholas on April 18, 1992. He married LaShanna Johnson in January 2020, and they had two children, Jahkai and Ma'Kenzie.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mario Nicholas & Calvin Young.

We can all attest that Devonte loved life, was the life of the party, and enjoyed music, family, and having a good time. He was loved by many for being his true authentic self and being real. He was affectionately called "Dookie" by those who knew him. His smile and laugh was infectious to those around him. He loved being a father and attending the many activities or events his children were involved in. He will be greatly missed and cherished.

Devonte leaves to cherish his memory, his wife LaShanna and children Jahkai and Ma'Kenzie; father Calvin Nicholas; brother Latarrus (Tabu); sisters Shaneika and Marleesha; brothers-in-law Jevon and Jamal; mother-in-law Sharon Johnson; father-in-law John Johnson (Caroline); grandmothers Lucille Nicholas and Margaret Young; grandfather Shedrick Young; godson Kyree Williams; 3 uncles, 8 aunts, 17 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and close friends.
