Darnell Creasy Obituary

Darnell Ricardo Creasy Sr. (Ricky) was born on April 8 th 1970 to Hazel and David Creasy in
Charlottesville, Va. Introduced to the Lord at an early age, he frequently quoted and used the
phrase “S.A.V.A.G.E.” (Speak, Against, Violence, Allow, God, Everywhere). After Ricky
completed Fluvanna County High School in 1989, he went on to begin his career in construction
and mechanics.

Aside from his career abilities, Ricky was known as a powerhouse within the community.
Known and loved by all, Ricky utilized his many talents in grilling, building, crafting, gardening,
landscaping, dog-rearing, caregiving and so much more to positively impact his family and the
community. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades.

The self-proclaimed leader and life of the party, Ricky never shied away from an opportunity to
make others smile while doing the things he loved. Whether he was freestyling, grilling, dancing,
singing, or orchestrating new ways for the family to have fun, Ricky and his outgoing persona
attracted people in abundance from all walks of life. He was highly regarded and respected
within the community, and coined the token ‘superhero’ among all who knew him. To his loved
ones, he was truly invincible.

Overall, Ricky lived a limitless life while still withholding the spiritual principles instilled in him
as a youth. He sacrificed himself tirelessly for others, and never missed a moment to sow seeds
of joy and laughter; especially into his children. Ricky had an immeasurable love for all of his
children, which he shared with Nancy Sipe (Nikki). Significant and unique, Ricky displayed an
individualistic love for all his children as his oldest (Lil’ Ricky), boldest (Daijaun), baby girl
(Desirea), and baby boy (Denzel). Ricky embodied his coined phrase, “Creasy Tight,” and will
forever be remembered and loved by all who knew him.

Ricky is preceded in eternal rest by his beloved brother, Randy, maternal and paternal
grandparents; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and other loved ones. Ricky is survived by his
children, Darnell Creasy Jr. (Lil’ Ricky), Daijaun Creasy (Boo-Boo), Desirea Sipe (Tink) and
Denzel Creasy (Baby) of Palmyra, Va. His loving parents Hazel and David Creasy of Palmyra,
Va.; siblings James Stovall of Charlottesville, Va., Daryl Creasy (Vanessa) of Palmyra, Va.,
Dwayne Creasy Sr. (Rena) of Powhatan, Va., Dwanna Jones (Alan) of Fork Union, Va., Diana
