Cherlene (Johnson) Scott

On April 28, 2023 God called another one of his children. Cherlene J. Scott departed this life at Chelsea Rehabilitation & Health Center in Goochland VA.

  Cherlene was born April 11, 1966 in Cumberland County to the late Julia and Benjamin Johnson and preceded in death by two sisters Catherine and Patricia Johnson.

    Cherlene joined Little Fork Baptist Church at an early age where she attended until her health failed her.She was a wonderful mother, stepmother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many.

     Cherlene was a fun and loving person who loved making jokes, and she also would always say to Bobbie or ask him "Bobbie, why would you do something crazy like that" and she would just laugh laugh laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world. Her hobbies were playing cards, watching westerns, listening to gospel and old school music and dancing.

     Cherlene leaves to mourn a loving husband, Bobbie Scott, one son Brian Johnson (Lisa) of Cumberland VA, three stepchildren Tamisha Scott of Palmyra VA, Michael Scott of Orange County CA, and Ryan Jackson of Savannah GA, three grandchildren Brian Johnson Jr. of Goochland VA, Denver Martin of Leesville LA, and Destiny Rice (Jacob) of Goochland VA, a brother in-law Tommie Scott (Marie) of Petersburg VA, two sisters Annette Scott (Gary) of Columbia VA, Lucille J. Scott (Larry) of Columbia VA, and one brother Charles Johnson (Marie) of Cartersville VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, a devoted nephew Eddie Johnson of Charlottesville VA and a devoted friend George Booker of Columbia VA
