Calvin Tremaine Young

Calvin Tremaine Young, born on November 28th, 1982 to Calvin Nicholas & the late Doris Ann Young departed this life on January 24, 2023 at home in Washington, DC. He was proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Doris Ann Young; paternal grandfather, Albert Nicholas; brother, Mario Nicholas & Uncle, Frederick Young.

     Calvin, affectionately known as “Mainey” grew up in New Canton, Virginia. At an early age he joined the Third Liberty Baptist Church, there where he sang in the youth choir until he grew in age. He was educated in the Buckingham County Public School System with the class of 2001. Mainey worked at a variety of Hotels across Central Virginia, including his supervising positions. He also worked at many Hotels in Washington, DC. Mainey was loved and adored by many family & friends; his memories will forever be cherished by all of them.  

     Mainey Leaves to cherish his loving memories to his father, Calvin Nicholas; siblings, two sisters, Shaneika Nicholas, of New Canton, Virginia, & Marleesha Nicholas, of Charlottesville, Virginia; two brothers, La’Tarrus Nicholas (Tabu), of New Canton, Virginia & De’Vonte’ Nicholas (LaShanna), of Dillwyn, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Shedrick & Margret Young, of New Canton, Virginia; paternal grandmother, Lucille Nicholas; eight aunts, Earnestine Coleman (Dale), Marion Young, Elsie Coleman (Pernell), Loretta Anderson (Emmett), LaTonya Young, Thelma Nicholas, Juanita Nicholas, & Patricia Eldridge (Les); three uncles, James Young, Henry Young & Albert Nicholas, Jr.; aunt in-law, Cynthia Young; Fourteen Nieces & Nephews; one great nephew; host of other family and friends. Mainey’s smile will forever be remembered by everyone whom encountered with him.
