Alonza Ruben Wood

Alonza Ruben Wood departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
He was the oldest child of the late Mary and Frank Wood, born on February 20, 1946.

Alonza joined the Thessalonia Baptist Church in Bremo Bluff, VA at an early age and
he attended S.C. Abrams High School in Fluvanna, VA. He enjoyed fishing, watching
westerns and wrestling, listening to his spiritual tapes and taking his relatives and friends
to different places in his van.

Alonza was preceded in death by two brothers Larry R. and Frank R. Wood, one sister
Rosemary Williams, and grandson Jamarcus B. Washington.

Alonza leaves to cherish his memories: daughter Lisa Washington (Ernest);
grandchildren Konica (Tim), Tiffanie, Braelynn, Datron, Shylek Washington; three sisters
Harriett Ann Amos, Arlene F. Wood, Willie Ann Causey; devoted cousins and caregivers
Richard and Lucille Lewis; and many other relatives, friends, and close buddies.
He will be greatly missed!!
