Our beloved Alfonzer "Creasy" Woodson transitioned peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was born on April 13, 1937 to the late Elbert and Beulah Woodson.
Alfonzer "Creasy" Woodson attended Deep Bottom Elementary and continued to S J Ellis School. Alfonzer accepted Christ at an early age. He met the love of his life Pearl "Eleanor" early in life and the two were united in marriage on July 30, 1960, and from this union, they were blessed with five children. They remained together until death departed them 63 years later.
Alfonzer "Creasy" Woodson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. to everyone he met. He worked hard to ensure that his family was taken care of. where he was employed by Uniroyal Tire Company in Scottsville, Virginia for more than 35 years until he retired.
Creasy's smile was an unforgettable one and to know him was to love him. Creasy was a friendly and happy person to all he met. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Creasy was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Beulah Woodson. His brothers Ralph, John Robert, Elbert Clarence, Joe Louis, and Obrey James. ; Sisters Nancy Jean, Sandra Jane, Millie Sue and son Darin Woodson
He leaves to cherish memories, his beloved wife Pearl "Eleanor" Woodson, and four daughters Jacqueline (Jackie) Woodson, Monica Smith (Marvin), Sharon Jones (Travis TJ), and Constance (Connie) Woodson. Four grandchildren, De'Andra Lewis (Maurice), Tamesha Hughes, Timara Turnage (Brandon), TaShonda Ford, One God granddaughter Tionna (Tee Tee) Foster, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Three sisters Earlene Woodson, Beulah Mae Stroman. and Marie Palmer (Robert Wayne). Two brothers William T Woodson (Rozena), Charles Woodson, and sister in law Margaret Woodson along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a large number of his fishing buddies and friends throughout the years.
